Old woman's murder: Youth remanded four more days

The remand of a teenager for investigation into the murder of an old woman near Kota Tinggi has been extended to Saturday, according to police.

Kota Tinggi Police chief Supt Rahmat Othman said today the 19-year-old youth was originally remanded for seven days from Aug 10.

Maimon Abdul Samad, 76, was beheaded by a youth on Aug 9 at Felda Pengeli Timur.

The head was placed at the front door of the house while the body was found under the kitchen sink with deep slash wounds on both thighs and arms.

A pathologist at the Sultan Ismail Hospital here said Maimon died from a stab wound in the abdomen and was beheaded later.
