One dead, 3 injured in North-South expressway accident
An accident involving a car and an MPV at kilometre 318, North-South Expressway early this morning left one victim dead and three others injured. -Filepix
An accident involving a car and an MPV at kilometre 318, North-South Expressway early this morning left one victim dead and three others injured.
Tapah Fire and Rescue Operation chief Zulkafli Hamad said the incident happened around 3.30am. A rescue team went to the scene following a distress call at 3.46am.
However the driver of the Proton Saga BLM, who was trapped in the car was already dead as confirmed by an emergency medical team, he said.
He said the body of the 23-year-old man was handed to police for further action.
"Initial investigations found that the Proton had grazed against the Naza Ria before turning turtle while the MPV skidded towards the side of the road," he said when contacted here.
Zulkafli said the driver and passengers in the MPV who sustained injuries were sent to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.
