One killed, four injured after car slams into buffalo

One person was killed while four others were injured after their car slammed into a buffalo lying on the road at
KM22.3 North-South Highway early today.
In the 3.30am incident, Muhamad Amirul Abdul, 19, from Kuala Nerang, died at the scene while his four injured friends were sent to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital here.
Kubang Pasu police chief Supt Abd Rahim Abdullah said they were heading to Bukit Kayu Hitam from Alor Setar when the accident happened.
"The dead victim, who was sitting in the front passenger seat was flung out of the car," he told Bernama.
He added that the driver and another passenger were seriously hurt while the other two passengers sustained minor injuries.
