Deputy Education Minister I Muslimin Yahaja said based on a study conducted by the MOE, only 36 per cent of students do not have the devices and Internet access.
“The MOE is aware of the problem and to overcome it, Education TV will be promoted to ensure the best level of education for the country.
“Students and teachers are advised to proceed with the online learning and to conduct face-to-face learning, as we need to have both. E-learning will not only help produce more creative teachers, but will also produce students who are able to think critically, able to take information, analyse, draw conclusion and have the ability to master the digital world."
He said this to Bernama at the closing of the Selangor Headmasters Council Education Leadership Colloquium at the Aminuddin Baki Institute, Genting Highlands Branch, here yesterday.
The three-day colloquium themed ‘Facing the New Normal in Education’ held since Tuesday, touched on the role of teachers in empowering knowledge and professionalism for the new generation to meet the objectives of the national education philosophy.
