Sabah police detained 111 individuals, including four men without identification documents, in Ops Cantas at a water village in Semporna Sunday.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said the four men, aged between 21 and 34, were also detained under Section 8 of the Explosives Act 1957 for having materials for making fish bombs in an operation at 4am.
"Meanwhile, 107 illegal immigrants detained were referred to the Immigration Department," he told a media conference after launching a blood donation programme organised by the police and Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) at the Karamunsing Complex, here, Wednesday.
Hamza said the police would continue operations in selected areas especially on islands and water villages on the east coast of Sabah other than 'Ops Gasak' by the East Sabah Security Command to clear the East Sabah Security Zone of illegals.
