Starting tomorrow (June 1), the operation hours of automated teller machines (ATMs) will resume as normal and will no longer be restricted from 8 am to 8 pm.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the change in operating hours was made to facilitate the public to make cash withdrawals.
“The government has decided that the ATMs that used to operate from 8 am to 8 pm can operate as usual as before the days of the Movement Control Order (MCO) was introduced.
"So, if previously it closes at 10 or 11 pm subject to certain banks, we will allow operations to be back to normal from tomorrow, June 1, 2020," he said in a daily press conference here on Sunday .
