Ops Selamat: "'Police only good at finding fault" claims road user
Kampar District police chief Supt Ng Kong Soon said the suspect had also refused to cooperate with the authorities.
Police is only good at finding fault.
This is what a road user had screamed when he was stopped by the police at Kampar yesterday afternoon for not wearing his seat belt.
In the 12 noon incident, the 47-year-old had also caused injury to the right hand of an officer on duty during Ops Selamat.
Kampar District police chief Supt Ng Kong Soon said the suspect had also refused to cooperate with the authorities and had pushed away the traffic summon book which was held by the officer when he was arrested.
“The incident at KM 5 near Tesco happened when the officer had stopped a Daihatsu Charade car as the driver was not wearing his seat belt,” he said.
“When the officer had asked the suspect to show identity card and driving license the suspect had came out of his vehicle and said you people don’t simply create problem,” he said when contacted by Astro AWANI.
Ng said the officer had remained silent while the suspect had brushed aside the summons book before screaming “Police only knows how to find fault” to the officer.
He then had snatched his IC from the officer.
“The officer then had arrested the suspect and took him to Kampar police station for further investigation,” he said.
He said the conversation with the suspect during the incident was recorded and a summon was issued for not wearing seat belt.
The suspect is expected to be charged on Friday, he added.
