Police issued 270 summonses and seized 27 motorcycles in the Op Tutup at Dataran Merdeka here late last night.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police chief ACP Mohd Nadzri Hussain said road blocks at Dataran Merdeka were set up as motorcyclists would gather at the area during weekends.
He said, among their offences, were not having a licence or riding under the influence of alcohol.
"This operation is being held to reduce unhealthy activities involving motorcyclists," he said.
Mohd Nadzri said the three-hour operation, which started at 11 pm, involved 70 men and officers.
