Several days later, some parties who claimed to be acquaintances of the teachers and representatives of the school as well as the headmaster persuaded the victim's family to withdraw the police report.
A special meeting was held between the leaders of community to discuss the case. It was also attended by Deena, Andak and some of other Temiar tribe members. All of them unanimously agreed that the school should not protect the teachers regardless the circumstances.
The pupil's family however did not budge and decided to proceed to report the matter to the authorities.
