Organisers of Save Selangor gathering to be called by police

Police will call the organisers of the 'Save Selangor Gathering' held today at the Ampang UMNO division building, here, soon for investigation.

Ampang District Police chief ACP Khairuldin Saad said police expected the gathering to be held in the compounds of a shopping complex in Ampang, but instead the participants gathered in the compounds of the UMNO division building.

"Police will investigate from every aspect. We have opened an investigation paper under Section 9 Peaceful Assembly Act 2012," he said when contacted by Bernama.

The organisation of the event did not receive the approval of the police or the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council.
