Oscars 2016 Best Dressed List

This is the last sort of hurrah (fashion-wise) for the 2016 awards season. The stars brought out their sparkly heels and that too-expensive designer gown to make their way down the red carpet! It’s time now to take a look at the best-dressed celebrities from this year’s Oscars red carpet. We can’t get enough of the glam gowns – from plummeting necklines to sparkling silhouettes. We saw many show-stopping dresses as leading ladies of the night stepped out for the big shindig.


Jennifer Lawrence posed for cameras in a spectacular nude and black lace gown that accentuated her desirable body. The plunging Dior dress hugged her form, which led to cascading layers of beautiful black lace and detail. The actress is nominated for Best Actress for her work in the movie Joy and stunned everyone in a Dior Haute Couture dress paired with lovely Chopard jewellery.


Alicia Vikander rocked this princess-worthy look that reminded us of Belle from the Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast. She was the belle of the ball in her Louis Vuitton princess dress.


Daisy Ridley made an entrance in her shimmering futuristic, gem-encrusted gown.


Lady Gaga wore pants? Who cares! She looked flawless in the white Brandon Maxwell ensemble. For Gaga, this is an undeniably demure look. She walked the line between jumpsuit and full-stop ball gown in this custom creation.


Saoirse Ronan looked elegant in a green sequined dress on this year’s red carpet.


Brie Larson looked remarkable in an electric blue flowing Gucci gown. She emitted sophisticated confidence in a blue dress paired with a bold belt. We approve! The Alessandro Michele dress definitely made a statement.


Margot Robbie looked exquisite, just like a gold statuesque goddess on the red carpet in a high-shouldered dress. She was quite the bombshell in a plunging Tom Ford dress.


Naomi Watts wore a purple and blue strapless dress that brought us under the sea with her mermaid-like gown.


Olivia Wilde rocked a Valentino. This dress is giving us both Grecian and extra-terrestrial vibes at the same time.


Cate Blanchett shone in Armani. Experts have proven it is impossible to look at this dress and not gasp and then remain flabbergasted for at least a few minutes, enthralled by its applique flowers and soothing ethereal colour.


Charlize Theron looked like a true glamorous movie star in her bright red Dior dress. It was eye-catching and sexy, accessorized with a perfectly placed diamond pendant.
