As a result of the outstanding work of government department and agencies in monitoring the safety of road users, the number of complaints from users of the East Coast Expressway Phase II (LPT2) have gradually lessened compared to three years ago.
State Health, Women, Family and Community Development Committee chairman Roslee Daud said the state government commended the strong cooperation of the Civil Defence Force (APM), Royal Malaysian Police, the state Fire and Rescue Department as well as the (state) Transport Department who displayed a high level of commitment in providing aid to LPT2 users.
"The state government will always ensure that needs of the safety officers and personnel are fulfilled to enable them to be able to serve with full dedication. We also hope that with this collaboration it will ensure the comfort of LPT2 users and road networks, as well as the smooth running of the hosting of Visit Beautiful Terengganu 2017," he said.
Roslee disclosed this to reporters after launching the opening ceremony of Ops LPT2 at Bukit Besi toll plaza, here Thursday.
Also present was the state APM director, Lieutenant Colonel Che Adam A Rahman.
Meanwhile, Che Adam said 96 state APM personnel were involved in the mobilisation of three operations conducted in phases from Jan 26 until Feb 5. - BERNAMA
