PUTRAJAYA: Over 2,000 job opportunities will be offered during the Putrajaya Festival of Ideas (Putrajaya FOI), organised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) here, from Nov 27 to 29.
According to a statement today, the MOHE said these job vacancies will be offered through the MADANI Career Carnival, in collaboration with MYFutureJobs, involving over 100 employers from various industries, including Air Asia, Standard Chartered, Gentari, Bank Simpanan Nasional and Malaysia Aviation Group.
It said the carnival will also provide career counselling services to help enhance success rates during interview sessions.
"Walk-in interviews are also offered for those who are qualified," said the MOHE.
The statement said the carnival, held for the first time, will benefit individuals seeking jobs as well as open opportunities for final-year students to explore the prospects upon graduation, thereby enhancing the employability of graduates.
Therefore, the MOHE urges the public to bring along updated copies of their resumes, certificates, and related documents after registering on the website
According to the MOHE, the organisation of the carnival is an important initiative in the effort to popularise ideas and higher education on a large scale as well as to promote Malaysia as a centre for intellectual discourse and innovation at the regional and global levels.
"The carnival also brings together experts, thinkers, leaders, academics, industry professionals, and the general public to discuss and share innovative ideas and solutions to current challenges with various programme activities including the Malaysia ideas conference, innovation and creative idea exhibitions, services and a career carnival," said the MOHE.
