KOTA KINABALU: A total of 28,445 people in Sabah have received the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine as at yesterday (March 15), said Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun.
Masidi, who is also the state government COVID-19 spokesperson, said that 67.5 per cent of the total were frontliners in Sabah.
“The Sabah Health Department (JKNS) also received a total of 470 reports of side effects through the MySejahtera application, the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency website and through the Pharmacy Information System, but most of the reports are mild side effects and not harmful,” he told a press conference here last night.
To date, a total of 241,492 people in Sabah have registered for vaccination via the MySejahtera application.
Masidi also said that the state government has not allowed travel bubble activities between states which are under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) to resume.
“However, the matter will be discussed again in the COVID-19 Sabah Disaster Management Committee once the infection rate has stabilised,” he said.
