The owners of business premises are advised to purchase a temperature scanner approved by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to ensure more accurate customer temperature readings.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said if customers were dissatisfied with the temperature readings at any premises, they could make a complaint to the relevant party.
“The operator or owner of the premises must purchase temperature scanners approved by the MOH. So, they can't buy carelessly, preferably at the pharmacy, not at the night market and so on. That's why this happened (the reading is not very accurate).
“If they had bought one, they need to pay attention to the accuracy of the readings to check the temperature. If they see a problem, they need to send the scanner for calibration.
"However, the MOH and the police will not monitor and inspect the temperature scanners because it is not the police's ability to check the accuracy," he said at a daily press conference here on Monday.
