“WE have heard with great shock and sorrow the sad news of the passing of Tun Ahmad Sarji. May Allah grant him Paradise. In this hour of grief Toh Puan and family are in our thoughts and prayers.
"Tun’s distinguished service within Malaysia is well known and will be missed by all his friends and colleagues. For us at Oxford, Tun will always be remembered for his encouragement and support for the work of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies.
"We had been fortunate to have Tun as a member of our Board of Trustees for well over two decades. He served with great distinction and commitment and his wise counsel will be sorely missed.”
Dr Farhan Nizami, CBE Prince of Wales Fellow and Director of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies
