PAC held 32 meetings from January to July - A-G report

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) held 32 meetings from January to July, as compared to 44 meetings and two project visits last year, says the Auditor-General's Report 2014 (3).
It said PAC's first meeting was on March 17 on 1BestariNet while the last meeting was on July 7 and 9 on the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) Interim Report.
For 2014, the first meeting on Jan 16 was on the KL International Airport 2 (KLIA2) project while the last meeting on Nov 17 was with the National Audit Department and agencies.
The Auditor-General's Report 2014 (3) was tabled in Parliament on Monday, following consent by Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah.
It contained 268 recommendations to aid the federal government, statutory bodies and state governments to make improvements and correct weaknesses.
