The state police have instructed its personnel manning guard post at all stations to wear bullet-proof vest in its bid to beef up security at its premises from any eventuality.
Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Sharifuddin Abd Ghani said the implementation would take effect immediately as a security measure for policemen who were assigned to guard the entrance of police stations.
He said in addition, the police would also conduct stringent checks on all civilian vehicles to ensure the security of its premises.
Such a measure was important in order to make sure no irresponsible parties would take the police lightly in keeping public order and national security, he told Bernama..
