Pahang Fatwa committee bans vaping among Muslims

The Pahang Fatwa committee has declared a ban on (electronic cigarettes) vaping among Muslims in the state as it poses a health hazard.
Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MUIP) president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah said the decision was made during the committee's meeting on Monday.
"The committee has declared that Muslims are banned from smoking e-cigarettes," he told reporters after chairing a MUIP meeting, here today which was also attended by Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob; state secretary Datuk Seri Muhammad Safian Ismail and MUIP deputy president Datuk Seri Wan Abdul Wahid Wan Hassan.
The decision was in line with the National Fatwa Council's decision to ban vaping among Muslims in the country.
"Those who do not observe the ban will be punished severely," he said.
