Pahang flood victims drop to 35,502

The number of flood victims placed at relief centres in Pahang dropped to 35,502 from 40,399 in the afternoon.

A Flood Operations Room spokesman at Pahang police headquarters said as at 8pm, 10,635 families are placed at 151 relief centres in nine districts.

"Kuantan has the highest number of flood victims with 29,379 in 42 relief centres," he told Bernama here today.

Pekan has 3,286 flood victims followed by Maran (933),Temerloh (904), Jerantut (570), Bera (196), Raub (150), Lipis (49) and Rompin (35).

Major roads still closed to all vehicles are Km16 Jalan Temerloh-Bera, Km14 Jalan Temerloh-Bahau, Km72 Jalan Kuantan-Segamat and Jalan Jerantut-Kuala Lipis (Kampung Sepial).
