Palm Springs Affair

Louis Vuitton brought the Parisian party to the Golden State, serving up a rich and enigmatic collection, equal parts ‘70s savannah soul and modern-day mod, even with the accessories.

Our November 2015 issue features Vuitton's new Cruise accessories in a spread where art, fashion and photography collide. In conjunction with the Cruise season, Louis Vuitton also presents its new “Spirit of Travel” campaign starring Michelle Williams and Alicia Vikander. Representing different facets of the Louis Vuitton woman, they fill their trunks for Palm Springs, California – the location is a natural follow-up to the Cruise 2016 runway show staged at Bob and Dolores Hope’s Estate.

A quest for freedom and a sense of exploration is what Louis Vuitton’s spirit of travel is all about. This inspiring campaign is shot in the desert in Palm Springs, a spellbinding landscape of raw space and escapism captured stunningly by Patrick Demarchelier.
