Controversial blogger Papagomo or his real name, Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris has become the latest individual to be barred from entering Sarawak by the Immigration Department.

Papagomo, who is also an UMNO Wangsa Maju exco member was denied entry upon his arrival at the Kuching International Airport via AirAsia Flight AK8672 from Kuala Lumpur around 12.15pm today.

It is learned that he will be deported back to Kuala Lumpur on the next flight, but no statement has been issued yet on the reason why he was barred.

On April 14, red-shirt rally organiser Datuk Jamal Md Yunos who is also Sungai Besar UMNO chief, along with three other individuals were also barred from entering the state.

According to Chief Minister Adenan Satem, the action of barring some politically-motivated individuals was taken to preserve racial harmony in Sarawak.

Up till now, more than 30 people, mostly opposition leaders have been banned from entering the state.
