Paraglider missing in Kuala Kubu Baru

A paraglider has been missing after he took off from Bukit Batu Bahat, Kuala Kubu Baru on Sunday

The man known as Rosli, in his 50s, failed to land at the Stadium Millennium. His whereabout is still unknown.

Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt R. Supramaniam said the district control centre was informed of the incident by the public about 3.30pm on Sunday.

“The paraglider failed to land due to strong winds that could have pushed the paraglider up and making it impossible to find him.

“As at 5pm yesterday, he was not contactable on his point-to-point set and mobile phone,” he said.

Search and rescuers efforts by the Fire and Rescue Department had to be postponed due to bad weather.

The search resumed at 8am Monday.
