Paralympian Mohammad Azlan dies in road accident

Three-time gold medalist at the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, South Korea, Mohammad Azlan Mat Lazim was killed in a road accident in Serdang Raya, here Saturday.
National Sports Council (MSN) Paralympic branch director Mohd Safrushahar Yusoff, when contacted by Bernama, confirmed the incident which also involved paralympic long jumper Farisan Jasna.
It was learnt that Mohammad Azlan, the Asia Para Games sprint champion and Farisan who lived at the MSN hostel were riding a motorcycle when the incident occurred.
"I understand Azlan and Farisan were riding a motorcycle when it was involved in an accident with a van. Azlan was pronounced dead at the scene while Farisan has been taken to Serdang Hospital for treatment.
"I will be heading to the hospital to check out Farisan's condition and Mohammad Azlan's body was also sent there," he said.
