Parliament will not be dissolved today

The Election Commission (EC) described news that Parliament will be dissolved on Friday, as a mere rumour.
Its chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof is confident that Parliament will not be dissolved today.
“As far as I know, the EC has not received any information and I’m sure that it is only a speculation,” said Aziz in a text message to Astro Awani.
News of the dissolution of Parliament today have been making its rounds since early this month.
Local news portal, The Malaysian Insider on Thursday had quoted a source from Barisan Nasional (BN) saying that GE-13 will happen on the second week of April.
The portal reported that the election will be held a month after Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak completes his ‘Janji Ditepati’ tour and BN is done with its list of candidates and manifesto.
Political observers had mostly predict that the ‘mother of all election’ will be held on March.
Many were confident about that Parliament will be dissolved this week after taking in account the period of about a month left before the school holidays begin on March 23, which is seen as an appropriate time to hold elections.
