Part-time GrabCar driver charged with insulting woman's modesty

M. Vijayakumar, 27, an engineer, claimed trial to committing the offence in a car along New Klang Valley Expressway, Kota Damansara here at 12noon on Nov 5.

He faces Section 509 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum jail term of five years or a fine or both, on conviction.

Magistrate Salamiah Hassan set RM4,000 as bail with one surety and Jan 13 for remention.

The court also set an additional condition on the accused - that the bail would be forfeited should there be any police reports of indecency against him throughout the case.
