Pas today launched a donation drive to help the party fund its legal suit against Sarawak Report founder, Clare Rewcastle Brown.
Pas deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said each member will be asked to donate a minimum of RM5.
"The cost to process this is very expensive and we have spent RM200,000.
“Due to the lower value of the Ringgit, Pas will have to sue in Pound Sterling in London,” said Tuan Ibrahim, when launching the donation drive at the Pas’ 63rd Muktamar held at Pas Kedah Complex.
Previously, Pas President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang confirmed that the lawsuit is important in order to maintain the dignity of Pas following the report by Sarawak Report.
The suit was filed at the London High Court on April 21 through their London lawyers, Carter-Ruck.
