PAS today lodged seven police reports against lawyer-cum-activist Siti Zabedah Kassim, better known as Siti Kasim, and a Sabah-based State Reform Party (Star) leader David Orok for allegedly insulting Islam by issuing offensive remarks on the 'ibadah korban' (ritual of sacrifice).
Pahang PAS Youth chief Mohamad Hazmi Dibok said the reports were lodged by himself and other PAS leaders from Indera Mahkota, Kuantan, Paya Besar, Maran and Kuala Krau at the Kuantan District Police headquarters here this morning.
"On Sept 1 and 10, Siti Zabedah posted misleading and deviant statements on the ritual on what was believed to be her Facebook account.
"On the other hand, David had posted misleading remarks on Sept 5 which were clearly insulting Prophet Ibrahim (and his son) Prophet Ismail," he told reporters after making the police reports here.
Mohamad Hazmi said the postings were a form of deviation of facts for opposing the order of Allah, and that such an act was an extreme one as it could offend and raise anger among the Muslims in the country.
The remarks could also be interpreted as opposing the Federal Constitution which placed Islam as the religion of the Federation as well as opposing and challenging the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong as the patron of Islam in Malaysia, he said.
