Pas may file 20 election petitions - Mustafa Ali
PAS is expected to be file 20 election petitions to protest the results of the 13th general election (GE13) on May 5.
Secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali said the petitions include for Kuala Selangor parliamentary and state seats in Perak, Terengganu and other states.
"The special committee has listed 20 petitions. It may be more or less and will be finalised later," he told Bernama when contacted today.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) plans to file 27 petitions involving parliamentary and state seats while the DAP has not decided on the matter.
On May 22, the Election Commission (EC) gazetted the GE13 results thus giving dissatisfied candidates and parties 21 days to file petitions from today.
The petitions can be filed in the High Court in the respective states.
In GE13, Barisan Nasional (BN) won 133 parliamentary seats, PAS won 21 seats, PKR won 30 seats while the DAP won 38 seats.
