PAS has announced that it will aid the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) election machinery in its fight to face the upcoming Kajang by-election.
Its president, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang in a statement to the media on Tuesday said, this is in line with the spirit within Pakatan Rakyat.
“In line with the spirit within Pakatan Rakyat, the Central and Selangor PAS will aid PKR’s election machinery based on its needs in facing the upcoming by-election.
“Central PAS Election Department Director, YB Dr Mohd Hatta Ramli has been appointed to lead the party’s election machinery during the by-election,” said Hadi.
Hadi added that the appointment was made during a party meeting held on Monday night.
Various issues were discussed during the meeting which included national and international politics and the Kajang by-election.
He stressed that issues pertaining to the Selangor Menteri Besar (MB) position however, had not been discussed.

This candidacy was announced by Selangor Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, during a press conference at PKR headquarters.
Kajang assemblyman Lee Chin Cheh's resignation on January 27 as Kajang assemblyman , sparked talks that the move is expected to pave way for Anwar in becoming the new Selangor Menteri Besar.
Anwar however, denied such talks, describing it as nothing but “mere speculation".
