PAU 2020: 'UMNO not a coward, whoever cheats should be left behind' - Tok Mat

KUALA LUMPUR: UMNO will not hesitate to sack any member who cheats or betrays the party, said UMNO Deputy President, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

“These people still need UMNO to shelter them but their love and hearts are already for others.

"They have been darkened by material pleasures. To them, UMNO is nothing more than just a ride. When strong, they are close. When weak, they give in.

"Remember, UMNO is not a coward. Anyone who is cheating and treacherous should be left forever," he said when officiating the simultaneous conference of UMNO Wanita, Pemuda and Puteri in conjunction with the 2020 UMNO General Assembly (PAU2020) here, on Saturday.

Mohamad added that anyone who is against the Malays and Islam are also enemies of UMNO.

Thus, he said, as long as these people have not overstepped the limits (opposing the Malays and Islam), UMNO is open and willing to explore all the ways of cooperation offered.

He added that knowing the enemy alone will not make UMNO succeed in the 15th General Election (GE15).

"To win, UMNO needs to work hard. Let's not get too busy and focus on political discussions on social media such as Whatsapp and Facebook.

"Debates on social media will not take UMNO anywhere. What we will win is, by being kind to the issue, solving the problems and burdens of the people," he added.
