PDRM will not tolerate Sabah's secession attempt - IGP

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will not tolerate any attempt by any party to call for Sabah's secession from Malaysia.
Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar warned such action was against the constitution and amounted to treachery.
"I am reminding those who are inciting the people that we are going after them," he told reporters after the launch of the PDRM football Super League Season 2015, here on Monday.
On Sunday (Feb 1), nine people were detained on suspicion of distributing pamphlets promoting the secession of Sabah and Sarawak from Malaysia, at the weekly open market in Tuaran between 9.50 am and 10.42 am.
Police seized 113 pamphlets and some books from the suspects, to facilitate investigations.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman was reported to have said that the nine were released on police bail the same day after giving their statements.
On the report that a Malaysian had been killed in the clash last Sunday (Jan 25) between Philippine police commandos and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), he said the PDRM was still awaiting confirmation on 'Marwan'.
Philippines media had reported that terrorist and bomb-maker Zulkifli Bin Hir alias Marwan, was killed in the clash that also claimed the lives of almost 50 Philippine police commandos and injured 12 others.
