Penang assemblywoman sobs after questions left unanswered
Dr Norlela said what was more upsetting was that she had no answer for all the questions raised by the residents when she went back to her area.
A PKR assemblywoman Thursday could not hold back her tears because her queries were ignored by the state government during the State Assembly sitting.
Dr Norlela Ariffin (PKR-Penanti) said she was sad because her questions on the development of her state constituency were left unanswered.
"My time was wasted just waiting for answers, every day I wait for answers, but no one answers. My area is a marginalised rural area, I am voicing out for the residents," she said while sobbing.
Dr Norlela said what was more upsetting was that she had no answer for all the questions raised by the residents when she went back to her area.
"What should I tell them when even a question on a river jetty was not answered," she said.
Dr Norlela also received sympathy from Roslan Saidin (BN-Pinang Tunggal), who said the issue was the reality that the people under the DAP-led state government needed to go through.
Her action also caused State Islamic Affairs, Domestic Trade and Consumerism Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Malik Kassim to stand up and sternly say that her accusations were unfair because Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had said that there were adequate provisions for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency.
The Penanti state constituency is under the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency.
