Former Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has presented himself at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters today to give his statement in regard to the Penang undersea tunnel project probe.

MACC deputy chief commissioner (Operations) Datuk Ahmad Khusairi said Lim arrived at the headquarters at 1 pm.

“I confirmed that he (Lim Guan Eng) was called to assist the investigation into the undersea tunnel case,” he told Bernama briefly.

On June 30, the MACC arrested a former top officer of the Penang Port Commission (PPC) to facilitate in the investigation of alleged corruption in the project, besides calling several other individuals to have their statements recorded.
