The Sultan of Selangor's Private Secretary, Datuk Muhamad Munir Bani in a statement said, Sultan Sharafuddin also felt sad because most politicians do not seem to care at all about the problems and hardships faced by the people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said the people's situation also became more difficult after being affected by the challenging economic situation.
"Politicians should be responsible in ensuring that the people’s well-being is always a priority when carrying out their trust and responsibilities.
"The hardships and sufferings of the people in daily life need to be addressed and resolved immediately by taking a drastic and effective approach," said Sultan Sharafuddin.
He also took note and supported the statement of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on 16 October.
At the same time, Sultan Sharafuddin wants all parties, especially politicians, to always work together regardless of the party's stance and always focus on helping the people and the country deal with the problem of spreading the COVID-19 epidemic and rebuilding the country's affected economy.
