Perak govt to table new bill to prevent misuse of emblems, titles and awards

The Perak government will table a new bill on Tuesday to prevent misuse of the state emblems, titles and awards following reports on such cases recently.
State Assembly Speaker S. Thangasvari said the Perak Emblems, Titles and Awards (Prevention of Improper Use) Enactment Bill 2016 would be tabled at the next State Assembly sitting scheduled to begin next Tuesday until Nov 21.
She said the bill would be tabled by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, who would also table the Supply Bill 2017.
"Among others, the Perak Emblems, Titles and Awards Enactment will set penalties on those found guilty," she told a press conference here Friday.
