Perak police investigates viralling of traffic policeman receiving bribe

Perak police is investigating closely a viralled video of a traffic policeman receiving a bribe in the course of duty.

Perak police chief Datuk Hasnan Hassan said he would not compromise over the issues of integrity and would ensure stringent action was taken against the personnel concerned if he had indeed taken the bribe.

"Perak police view the matter seriously," he said in a statement here today.

The seven-second video, which was disseminated from yesterday, showed a traffic policeman talking with a driver who then handed the policeman money.
