Perak traffic police issue almost 100 summonses in two operations last night

The Perak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department issued 97 summonses for various offences in two operations since last night, said State Traffic Staff Officer, DSP Mohd Mahiri Hussin.
He said 69 summonses for various offences were issued in the Enforcement and Warrant of Arrest Ops at Jalan Raja Di Hilir, Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah and Jalan Lahat which were held from 9pm until midnight last night.
He said throughout the operation, the most number of summonses issued were for speeding with 18 cases; not having the driving licence (nine), ignoring traffic lights (eight).
"Other effences for which summonses were issued included having fanciful number plates, obstructing traffic and using the mobile phone (while driving)," he said in a statement, here today.
