Perkasa will support BN candidates

Malay rights group, Perkasa, president Datuk Ibrahim Ali assured that he will ensure the organisation's members supported Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates contesting in the 13th General Election.

Even though Perkasa was an independent body, it felt that only BN was capable of maintaining the peace and security of the country, he said.

"We have no choice but to determine the political power at the upcoming general election. Only BN appears to be capable.

"Therefore, I'll urge and ensure Perkasa members at grass roots level to give their support to BN candidates," he told reporters after the opening of the Selangor Perkasa annual special conference by Agriculture and Agro-based Minister, Datuk Seri Noh Omar, here yesterday.
