Permit revoked, Dr Mahathir-Nazri Aziz debate cancelled
The debate between former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Minister of Tourism and Culture Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz slated for April 7 has been canceled.

Karangkraf Media Group Managing Director, Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub announced the cancellation of the program following the revocation of the permit by the police this afternoon.
"Weird, Tun M vs Ds Nazri dialogue, yesterday we received the permit. This afternoon we received a letter invalidating the permit. So troublesome!" he said.

According to the letter addressed to organiser Sinar Karangkraf Sdn Bhd, the revocation of the permit was due to protests from residents of the area.
"I apologize to readers of Sinar Harian, Dr Mahathir and Mohamed Nazri," said Hussamuddin as quoted from Sinar Harian online.
