The police are asked to conduct a detailed investigation into claims made by former PetroSaudi International Ltd (PetroSaudi) executive Xavier Andre Justo that he met with political party members from Malaysia to sell confidential information about the company.
Kelantan deputy menteri besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah, who is also PAS deputy president, said the sale of the confidential information should not have taken place.
"The sale of the information should not have happened. I cannot comment further as I do not know (the details). So we ask the police to investigate," he said when contacted by Bernama, today.
Last Thursday, Thai police revealed that opposition leaders met with Justo in Singapore to purchase the company's confidential information.
Bernama had previously reported that the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said Malaysians involved in the case would be called up to provide information on the latest findings of the Thai police involving Justo.
