KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan (PH) is taking an open stand for discussions and cooperation under the 'Big Tent' concept based on its reform agenda and the people's interests.
In a statement today, PH said the stance was made after its presidential council held a meeting today to discuss ongoing political and current issues.
It said efforts to mobilise resources through the 'Big Tent' concept among the opposition must be given priority over political games detrimental to the country.
"PH will also continue its role in Parliament as an opposition that provides constructive and responsible criticism, recommendations and views, in line with the advice of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to ensure the check and balance process on the Executive continues," the statement said.
The statement was jointly signed by PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Mohamad Sabu and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.
Meanwhile, the PH presidential council said it also respects the decision of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah to appoint Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as the ninth prime minister.
It said the council also reiterated its commitment for PH to be strengthened under Anwar's leadership, with all preparations for the 15th General Election being intensified including its manifesto, seat discussions, its line of leadership and choice of candidates as well as strategies to win the people's mandate.
