PH ready to form partnership with UMNO in Perak

IPOH:Pakatan Harapan (PH) is ready to work with any party including UMNO to form a strong and stable government in Perak.

Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming said in the interest of the people, PH is ready to work with any party that can help form a multi-racial, strong and stable government.

"I am open to constructive discussions and we are ready," he said in a Whatsapp application shared with the media today.

He was commenting on UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's statement that UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN) did not rule out the possibility of forming a new political alignment in Perak.

However, he stressed, they will try their best to maintain the government under the leadership of the previous Menteri Besar.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Amanah Perak, Datuk Asmuni Awi said, PH's priority now is to look after the interests of the people who have suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We will not join UMNO. Amanah and PH are ready to work with any party including UMNO to form a strong and stable government in Perak,” he said.

Perak PKR chairman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak in his brief answer said they are ready for the sake of the people.
