SHAH ALAM: More than 75 per cent of the 232 units of Residensi Advena homes in Section 16 here developed by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) were sold on the first day of its launch yesterday.
PKNS chief executive officer Datuk Mahmud Abbas said the encouraging response from buyers was believed to be due to the reasonable price starting from RM388,000 to only RM398,000 for an apartment located in a strategic area in the heart of Shah Alam city.
He said Residensi Advena with 941 square feet apartments has two blocks, a 14-storey building and another 20-storey building with a gross development value (GDV) of more than RM91 million which is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year.
"PKNS is committed to providing affordable housing suitable for all groups and we are only making a small profit from this housing project because it is part of PKNS' corporate social responsibility for the people of Selangor," he told the media here today.
Mahmud said that with the positive response, he is confident all Residensi Advena units will be sold within the next two to three months.
He said the project was built with modern designs inclusive of three bedrooms and two bathrooms and complete with facilities such as a swimming pool, gymnasium, multi-storey car park, multi-purpose hall, surau, shops, management office and reading room.
Mahmud said the corporation also offered attractive packages including free legal fees and stamp duty and to make it easier for buyers to get loan financing, the two-day launch programme at PKNS Shah Alam Complex was also attended by nine panels of banking institutions.
