PKR election: Tian Chua to challenge Azmin, Khalid for deputy president post

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Vice President, Tian Chua has confirmed that he will contest for the party’s deputy president post during the party's election in May. Tian Chua, who is also Batu Member of Parliament, described himself as a candidate who is qualified to occupy the party’s number two position. "I receive good support from members. In fact, I believe I have a strong voice to develop this party. Actually, I'm more senior compared to the others since the party was established. I have stayed in the top post since the beginning," he said. Through this election in May, Tian Chua will stand against incumbent deputy president, Mohamed Azmin Ali. Also contesting is Selangor Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, who was present to submit the nomination. Another name mentioned for the post was the party's Secretary-General, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
