Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is no longer relevant when it is not fair in the dismissal of its members.

Gombak MP, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said, that was why members including the top PKR leaders lost confidence in the party.

"They are talking about reforms and justice but they themselves cannot do justice to their own members.

"How can they bring the principle of justice in the country if this cannot be translated into the process of disciplinary action against its members in the party," he said when commenting on the dismissal of PKR Women leader, Haniza Mohd Talha.

Azmin, who is also the Senior Minister of Economy, said this during a breakfast program and a dialogue with the Kampung Nakhoda Senior Citizens Association and the Malaysian Muslim Women's Welfare Board (LKPIM), here today.

He said Haniza's dismissal from the party, leading to her being also dropped from the State Exco was considered unfair.

"To me, YB Haniza is a well-respected leader. Most importantly, she is determined to continue the struggle through the organization of the Nation of Women to mobilize all the strength of women in national development.

"I think the role is better than staying in the party or government but being a beggar to a tyrannical leader," he said.

Yesterday, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari announced that Haniza Talha was dropped as a member of the Selangor State Exco following her dismissal from PKR at the end of last month.

Her Housing and Urban Life portfolios will be held by him and any programs related to the portfolio will be temporarily suspended.
