KUALA LUMPUR: All ministries have been asked to expedite the implementation of their development projects as those projects would give multiplier effects especially to boost the grassroots economy.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said he made the call at the National Development Action Council's meeting this morning.
"Under Budget 2022, the government has allocated RM40.5 billion for basic development expenditure.
"At the same time, the government is giving serious attention to the rising price of construction materials," he said in a posting on Facebook today.
He said immediate intervention would also be conducted by the relevant agencies to control the hike in the prices of construction materials because if left unchecked, it could affect the implementation of development projects.
