KUALA LUMPUR: A range of relaxations in COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) was announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin earlier today, for individuals who have been fully inoculated and are residing in the states in Phase Two and beyond.
Muhyiddin said these new rules will come into effect starting from Tuesday.
The measures for those who are completely vaccinated are as follows:
1) Dine-ins allowed under Phase 2 of the NRP
2) Allowed to pray at places of worship subject to precautions.
3) Outdoor exercise allowed (6am-10pm) with social distancing.
4) Interstate travel allowed under Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP)
5) Parents may travel to see their children aged under 18.
6) Long-distance spouses may travel across states and districts to see each other.
7) Overseas travelers returning to Malaysia may quarantine at home.
However, those who are fully inoculated must present their digital vaccination certificates as proof as and when required.
"I advise people to dine-in only when necessary and not to spend too much time. People are also advised to take-away if the situation permits.
"Choose a premise that has a good and open ventilation system," he said in the special announcement.
He added that an individual will only be recognised as an individual who has completed the vaccination when according to the following criteria:
a) For vaccine types that require two doses of injection (Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Sinovac), the individual must have passed the 14th day from the date of injection of the second dose; and
b) For vaccine types that require only one dose of injection (Johnson & Johnson and CanSino), the individual must have passed the 28th day from the date of injection.
