PM Muhyiddin extends wishes on second anniversary of King's reign

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, on behalf of the people, today wished Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah well on the second anniversary of His Majesty's reign as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Muhyiddin said he also prayed for Al-Sultan Abdullah’s continued good health.
“Your Majesty, today is Jan 31, 2021, which is two years since Your Majesty’s ascension to the throne as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
“On behalf of all Malaysians, I pray for continued blessings, prosperity and health to be showered upon Your Majesty as the protector of the nation. Daulat Tuanku. Menjunjung Kasih Tuanku,” the prime minister said in a Facebook post.
Al-Sultan Abdullah was proclaimed the sixth Sultan of Pahang on Jan 15, 2019, following the demise of his father, Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah.
His Majesty was elected the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong at a special meeting of the Conference of Rulers on Jan 24, 2019, and ascended the throne on Jan 31.
