Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said he would ensure the implementation of more infrastructure projects in Sarawak.
"Since 2009, I have stressed that nobody would be left out of the national development agenda," he said in his latest post on his blog, NajibRazak.com.
The post was uploaded following his two-day working visit to Sarawak over the weekend.
"In our desire to achieve the status of a high-income nation, I am aware that there are many areas and communities, especially in Sabah and Sarawak, who need attention from the Federal Government in terms of time and money.
"As such, the government has never neglected development in Sarawak and has always provided allocations especially in the development of infrastructure, clean water supply, electricity supply as well as improving the network of transportation and roads in each federal government annual budget since I took over the leadership as Prime Minister.
"These developments were outlined in the Barisan Nasional election manifesto. In fact, I have made sure that the government is committed to national development in the next five years, especially in the development of Sarawak under the 11th Malaysia Plan," he said.
Najib also said that the focus of his visit this time was to look into the development projects of Sarawak that had been announced by the federal government.
The Prime Minister visited several major development projects in the state, including the construction of the 102km Jalan Kapit-Song-Kanowit-Sibu as well as the construction of a bridge across Sungai Kanowit.
"I will return to visit Sarawak to ensure more catalyst infrastructural projects will be carried out to give more benefit to the people of Sarawak. Insya-Allah! (God willing)," he said.
